Helpful turkey brood data received

A record number of people this year took the time to report sightings of turkey hens and their young to the state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.
“Response from the public was excellent,” said Jim Cardoza, the state’s turkey project leader. “More participation from many people reporting brood sightings results in better information for the agency.”
About 350 brood surveys — the most ever — were turned in to MassWildlife for reporting sightings from June through August. The surveys are
