“I would say definitely,” claimed Byron Briggs, avid waterfowler of Opelousas. “When scouting Thursday and Friday, I could see the ducks pouring in just before the front came through, so I knew it would be a great local opener on the second split,” he said.Many duck hunters he chatted with welcomed the new arrivals, according to Briggs.
